According to the mandatory new regulations announced by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology, Inspection and Quarantine (BSMI) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan, since May 1, 2014, all batteries, batteries, mobile power supplies, and chargers sold to the Taiwan market for 3C products must pass through Taiwan’s TAF Only when the laboratory conducts the test and obtains the BSMI certificate can enter the customs.

Basic steps of BISMI certification
Submit the application form, materials and samples to CPUP ----the product has been tested by a TAF accredited laboratory ---BSMI audited ---BSMI issued a certificate
Remark:
No inspection requirements
The BSMI certificate must be held by a local importer in Taiwan
The certificate is valid for 3 years
Certificate holders need to pay an annual fee to maintain the certificate
Before the mobile power and battery get BSMI certification, the batteries used must first get BSMI certification
