Brazil ANATEL certification is a certification for telecommunications products.
Anatel certification is divided into mandatory and voluntary certification. The approval procedure is the same for domestic and foreign products in Brazil. If the product requires compulsory certification, the test results and reports of the product must be consistent with the rules and regulations adopted by ANATEL. Before the product is put into use, an authorization certificate issued by ANATEL must be obtained.
Mandatory certification scope
Brazil ANATEL is only for communication battery products, whether it is a separate battery or together with the product, it is a mandatory range of products.
Evidence requirements
The certificate/authorization holder (importer, manufacturer) must be confirmed by the Brazilian statutory;
Type I certificates are valid before cancellation, and the other two types of certificates are valid for two years;
The user manual, installation guide and warning signs must be in Portuguese. Other documents can be in English;
The product must have a label, containing the following information:
ANATEL logo certification number (bar code); manufacturer name; year of manufacture; model number; serial number; distributor’s registration number.
Material and sample requirements

2. Product internal photos: the front and back photos of the motherboard are required
3. External photos: six-sided photos of the product + a specific appearance photo with a nameplate
4. The ISO certificate requires Portuguese.

Estimated project cycle
1. The safety test cycle is 2 months, and the report certificate is 1 month;
2. Performance test 4-5 months
3. Certificate 1-2 months, homologation 6-8 weeks
